HONDA LOCATE MAKES SOME DRIVERS ELIGIBLE FOR INSURANCE DISCOUNTS*

The Honda Plus Locate program is Honda Canada’s answer to the question, ‘How can I track my stolen car?’ Customers with Honda Plus Locate are given an added layer of protection in the event that their Honda is stolen.

Honda’s team works with local law enforcement 24/7 to locate stolen vehicles and return them to their owners. Their system can be used to locate vehicles inside shipping containers at any port in North America.

On top of this peace of mind Honda Plus Locate also offers drivers who receive their vehicle back damaged $1,000 of their insurance deductible. In the unlikely event the vehicle is not returned, customers can claim up to $5,000 towards a replacement vehicle.

All 180 seaports located in North America have been equipped with virtual fencing. If a Honda vehicle equipped with Honda Locate crosses a virtual fence and is held at a seaport, the device will notify the recovery team.

Currently, many stolen vehicles are held in metal shipping containers. However, Honda Locate is the first solution of its kind that can function from inside a shipping container. The Honda Locate Range Finder feature enables authorities to pinpoint the exact container that contains the stolen vehicle.

The Honda Plus Locate device is equipped with high-powered magnets for quick and easy installation on most metal surfaces. It also comes with 3M 9448A double-sided mounting adhesive for optional installation on non-metal surfaces. When using the 3M adhesive on the BACK side of the Locate device, make sure the punch hole matches up with the Tamper Sensor. If the Tamper Sensor is covered, the removal alert will not activate.
